I found that that the COVID-19 playlists on Spotify were not to my taste. So for the first time, I created a playlist! Click on the below to get to it.

Infectious: COVID-19 2020, a playlist by Amy Diane Short on Spotify
A playlist featuring Limp Bizkit, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Suzanne Vega, and others
Warning: Melancholy and Dark

These songs are mostly Gen-Xer punk/alternative, and the ‘F’ word shows up quite a bit, so it’s NSFW. Wait...I guess that doesn’t matter as much when you are working from home! (Bonus.)

I also want to take this opportunity to point you to some excellent sources for reliable and helpful COVID-19 information during these tough times.

For the foreseeable future, the Ohio Governor and the Director of the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) are holding a daily 2:00 EDT presser. Note that it often starts late and sometimes runs up to two hours. It is a wonderful source for up-to-date and accurate information. You can watch it live here:

https://www.ohiochannel.org/governor-live-stream.html

or on this news station’s live stream:

Live Stream
Streaming Live on WKBN.com WKBN 27 First News This Morning | 5:00am – 7:00am | Weekdays First News on FOX: Morning Edition | 7:00am – 9:00am | Weekdays WKBN 27 First News Saturday Morning | 6:00am …

Also, another great resource is the ODH COVID-19 website:

COVID-19
Everything you need to know to prepare for, and protect yourself from Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

The ODH also has a call line (staffed from 9am–8pm EDT) where you can get answers to your questions. Be patient with them if you have a wait — they are all volunteers and the ODH is working to scale it up.

The number is: 1-833-4-ASK-ODH

I know that some of my friends are feeling scared and isolated. (My playlist may not be what you need. That is my coping mechanism, not necessarily yours.) The below information is for you. Take care of yourselves!
